Many of you played on the old DragonFire WotLK realm between 2010 and 2018. We have kept its characters, and now you can bring yours to the new DragonFire-BG WotLK realm.
The new realm starts fresh
The new realm opens empty, so everyone starts on equal terms. The old characters are kept in an archive, and you can look through them in the Armory (realm "Archive"). Nothing moves on its own: a character comes to the new realm only when its owner asks for it.
How to restore your characters
Log in to the site and open the Restore page. Prove that the old account is yours in one of three ways:
- Your old password: type the old account name and its password, and the account is linked at once.
- An email link: forgot the password? We send a link to the email the old account was registered with. It is valid for 24 hours.
- A request to the team: no password and no access to that email? Tell us what you remember and a team member will look at it.
Then choose which of your old characters to bring over. They arrive on the new realm on your account, with their level, gear, bags, bank, professions, reputation and achievements.
A name already taken on the new realm? You will be asked to choose a new one at your first login. If something does not look right after the restore, write to us in Bug Reports.
