Terms of Use

DragonFire-BG is a free, non-commercial fan project for players who enjoy World of Warcraft as it was in patch 1.12.1. By creating an account, playing on the realm or using this website you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What this project is

  • DragonFire-BG is run by volunteers in their free time. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment.
  • World of Warcraft, its names, images, logos and game content are the property of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. We claim no ownership of them.
  • Playing is free. Nothing is sold here: no items, gold, levels, services or advantages of any kind.

2. Your account

  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done with your account.
  • Use a password you do not use anywhere else.
  • Accounts may not be sold, traded or given away.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Serious or repeated violations lead to a permanent ban.

3. Conduct

Treat other players and the staff with respect, in the game, on the website and on our Discord. In particular, do not:

  • harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against anyone, or share someone else’s personal information;
  • use character, guild or account names that are offensive, hateful, sexual, political or that impersonate staff or other players;
  • spam, advertise other servers or services, or scam other players;
  • pretend to be a Game Master or a member of the staff.

Killing players of the opposing faction is part of the game on a PvP realm and is not harassment.

4. Fair play

  • No cheats, hacks, bots, automation or any third-party program that plays for you or gives you an unfair advantage. Interface addons made for the 1.12.1 client are allowed.
  • Do not abuse bugs or exploits. If you find one, report it to the staff on our Discord instead of using it.
  • Do not trade in-game gold, items or characters for real money or anything of real-world value.
  • Do not attack, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the realm, the website or other players’ accounts.

5. No guarantees

  • The service is provided “as is”. It may be unavailable, restarted, changed or closed at any time, with or without notice.
  • Characters, items and progress may be lost, rolled back or reset (for example after a crash or a major update). We do our best to avoid it, but we cannot promise it will never happen.
  • To the extent allowed by law, the volunteers behind DragonFire-BG are not liable for any loss arising from the use of the service.

6. Your data

  • To run the service we store your account name, e-mail address, a hashed password, the IP addresses you connect from and your in-game data. We use them only to run the realm and the website and to protect them from abuse.
  • We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site sets only the cookies it needs to keep you logged in and to protect its forms.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time through our Discord.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
